THE FRAME
Frame 313 of Abraham Zapruder's 8 mm home movie, filmed in Dealey Plaza, Dallas, November 22, 1963.
Zapruder's film runs 486 frames, about 26.6 seconds at 18.3 frames per second. It is the most complete visual record of the assassination and the clock by which every theory of it is measured.
Frame 313 shows the fatal head shot. What the frames around it show about the direction of that shot has been argued over for sixty years.
The original film is held by the U.S. National Archives.
